Hello All.
I want to drop a couple of pipes down into the frontroom to put in a new radiator.
The old one has pipes under a concrete floor so rather than move that along to wall to the new location I though I might aswell drop it down from the pipes above.
Is this doable by someone like me. I am not too bad with other tasks I have undertaken.
I am thinking from what I have read is that
-I need to drain out the system
-I need to locate the 2 flow and return pipes near where the new radiator drop is going.
-I need to T into those 2 pipes with 15mm then route it down the wall
- Attach the flow into the TRV
- Return on the other end.
- fill the system up
- bleed all the radiators
Is this pretty much the case or is there anything else I should do different.
Also the radiator that I am removing. Should I find the pipe as near to the flow and return as possible and then solder a cap on there or could I do it in the floor and cap it and fill in the hole. (I know it will still be vunerable to corrossion but that would be worst case if I cant trace the pipe back)
Any thoughts welcome. (relevant to this post
)
Thanks in advance
Rob
