Here's another question:

John Terry was on trial for calling someone a black ********
Not because he called him a ******* but because he called him black.

John Terry was not on trail for calling someone a **** black **** but repeating what the ******** black **** had said!

I thought that was his defence?

It was his defence and that is what The FA found him guilty of!
"using abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour ... which included a reference to colour and/or race."
