Is it acceptable, or sensible to use a side entry to small outdoor consumer unit?

I have a Klargester sewage plant with a vandalised (fire damaged) outdoor consumer unit.
This just had a double pole 3A MCB and Motor run Capacitor in.

I have bought a 2 Way IP55 CU with RCD, 6A and 16A MCBs.

I have ditched the RCD (Main CU has RCDs already), and the 6A MCB.

I have fitted the 3A DP RCD, motor Cap with a couple of blanks, then the 16A MCB.

I would like to fit an IP 66 outdoor socket fed from the 16A MCB.

The CU has 2 ports on the bottom, for Incoming SWA and Outgoing Klargester Motor SWA.

Is it acceptable to use one of the Side entry ports for the feed to the socket?

I shall get my Sparky to wire it all, just want to know if what I have is useable.

thanks

Bottom entry always preferable.

More often than not a new hole can be drilled.

Side entry is acceptable, if you can get a decent seal.
