Is it bad to speed up plaster drying, using a heater?

My plasterer is running a week late.
He has done half the walls and will complete the other half friday.

He is skimming on to plasterboard, that was put up a week ago.

I was wanting to paint this weekend but it won't be dry.

1) Can I speed up the drying process by pitting a small electric radiator (not a blow heater) in the room. Will this cause the plaster to dry too quickly?

2) Does the plaster have to be dry to paint on it?

open the doors and windows. fresh air will speed the drying. If you use heat it will just make the room more humid until the air won't take any more moisture.

leave the plaster until it has changed colour all over before you paint it.

As johnD said, fresh air is the best.Plaster can sometimes crack if it dries out too fast by using a heater.

I tried to paint wet plaster once. it looked ok initially
but in the morning the paint had run off the wall. it's just not worth it.
