Is it possible to convert a thumb turn lock on a RockDoor to handle handle?

My elderly relative just can't get to grips with the thumb turn. I've fitted an extender on the inside which makes it easier but now she is having trouble with the outside getting in and managed to bend the key the other day trying to get in.

In short no, because you only have a cylinder and a finger pull you very likely also have a slam lock , I'm guessing a Winkhaus AV2 maybe a 3, where the centre latch and hooks are retracted by turning the key, quite difficult admittedly if you suffer from arthritis or carpel tunnel like me, on a lever lever set up its the lever movement up and down that operates the latch and hooks, it would mean binning the mechanism and fitting a let's say ordinary one
