Hi - in my living room there's a gas fire that I'd like to replace with a wood burning fire.
I seem to have a proper chimney - I've attached a picture of the view in the loft. Knowing nothing about chimneys, does this size at least look promising?
Assuming that my chimney can accomodate this type of fire, is this a job that I can tackle myself - I guess I'd need someone qualified to at least cap the existing gas point and possibly line the chimney?
