Is this a gas connection?

I'm in the process of refurbishing my first property.
I would like to purchase a dual fuel cooker but was unsure whether I had a gas connection for the cooker.
On the wall where the cooker should be is a silver cap which i am not sure if it is a capped off gas pipe.
I have a couple of pictures showing this.

I just want to make sure that is a gas connection before I make a purchase

Looks like a gas pipe blanked off, however you would need to get a Gas Safe registered person around to sort it out and make it ready for the gas cooker. It will need a bayonet type fitting putting on the outlet for the gas cooker supply hose to fit onto. As it is, it wont connect up.
