Evening all...

We're in the midst of renovating our house and are looking to install gas. I assumed that this is a gas pipe, but EDF have no record of a gas install.

It's def not the main water pipe. Cant see what else it could be. I don't think the property has had a working gas supply in the last odd 40 years.

Any ideas? I'm hoping that if it is a gas pipe, but needs replacing to meet current spec we won't get charged. Who knows though!!

Yeah it's a old gas tap probably been disconnected a long time ago .

Thought as much. I wonder if I can get away with having to pay to bring the gas in if there was a serviceable pipe there before

They won't reinstate , that service if it's dead, new plastic required
