Hi,

This is the first time i am having a carpet fitted.

I am looking at off cuts which are canvas backed as they are better quality and will last longer compared to foam which breaks up after a while. Is this true?

Bedroom measurements:

4.55m X 3.43m

£97 underlay
£27 gripers

and a carpet which takes the total to £250 so i get free fitting.

The cost would be £250ish

Is this a good price or extortionate?

Any advice would be much appreciated as always.

Thanks!

Extraordinarily cheap. Good quality carpet is over £30 sqm which would make the carpet alone over £450 add decent underlay another £150-200, sundries £50. I would expect a total around £700.

Thank you very much very appreciated!

The other option i was looking at was getting those carpet squares and laying them over the carpet which i can get for £1 each would need 70 but not sure if this is a great idea in the long run?
