Is this a hinge jig?

I've had this a while. I thought it was a drill guide for kitchen hinges.

But now I want to fit some, I don't see how to use it. I've use a different type, with a lip that locates on the edge of the door or cabinet, but this has no lip.

John no offence but I suspect you're the kind of person who has a garage full of stuff that never officially existed in the first place

IIRC it was delivered along with Blum hinges, drawer runners and other kitchen accessories
