Is this how it should be ?

The main roof to the left of the porch first.

It didn't look right.

Got some close ups of the step flashing.

If you havent seen it done i would rub some patination oil over the lead it often gets missed.

If you drive passed old houses and see marks on the tiles near lead flashings such as near chimney stacks its because theres no oil on it.

What solar kit are you getting ?

If they are all the same with soakers and a step cover flashing they are fine.

I have heard the builders talk about that. I will have to follow it up. Thanks. Not sure about the solar kit. It is solar and not PV.

Yes, got up and looked at the dormers as well and was quite impressed with the lead work. Was told that the lead man was the best. But he was a bit eccentric though.

The southern elevation looks terrible. Too much glass and brickwork and horrid windows. I'm sure Prince Charles has a quote for behemoths like this.

I run a web site for a classic vehicle club and we have a Forum like this one. And periodically I have to deal with unhelpful people like you. Everyone else has been very helpful to me in a subject that is not my profession but you have proved the law of averages.

In a nutshell Mr. Norcon, both you and Prince Charles can take a running jump as far as I am concerned. Neither of you are coming to my house warming party.

Just giving you my opinion. Seems I've hit a nerve.
Can't see the full scope of the front elevation but it don't look a lot better tbh.

You hit nothing. Had you ever considered that the "Southern" elevation might not actually be completed ?

I always advise forum users not to post things late in the evening when they may have been drinking. Better done in the morning when their heads are clear.

Well you could plant a wall of conifers. That would complete it.
Well it certainly would if I was living next door as they would look a lot prettier.

If he's going to fit a terminal guard there isn't anything wrong with oil installation, apart from the condense drain which doesn't meet Worcester requirements re frost prevention.

An oil filter is required at the tank end and at the boiler - it helps if you are an oil registered installer when making observations.
