I have a Fantasia ceiling fan in my lounge. I want a switch that will turn it on when the humidity in the room gets too close / sticky - so that my dogs will be cooled when I’m out.

I believe that a humidity sensor would be better than a temperature sensor, as the humidity can be worse than the heat - does that make sense?

So, does anyone know of a mains humidity sensor available in the UK that I could wire into the power supply line?

Thanks

I don't think that is a good idea.

A couple of evenings ago it was 28° - almost unbearable - and 29% humidity.

At the moment it is 11° and 89% (according to BBC weather).

Oh right, so I got it wrong then

So I need a 240 volt heat thermostat with an override instead?
