Hi,

Decorating a room and replacing all old switches with new ones.
Previous owner had a switch (with neon), operating a couple of sockets.
I don't have the same switch to hand, but I do have a fused switch.

Image below, can I use this fused switch in place of the neon one, and am I correct in thinking that the input voltage goes to N Supply and L Supply, and the voltage to the two sockets comes from N Load and L Load?

Thanks.

The supply side live and neutral will go to the supply side.
As will the load conductors go to the sockets the are operating.
With respect to changing 13A fuse connection unit (FCU) from 20A isolator should be okay, providing you are talking about 13A socket outlet and not outlet plates to appliance that require more than 13A but less than 20A.
Be aware that you will be restricted to a maximum of 13A after the FCU

Thanks, two sockets will be used for general electrical appliances - lamp, tv, blu ray...etc...

Should be ok?

Sure. Those items will only pull a couple of amps all together at the very most.

Put 13amp fuse in the fuseholder of the FCU.

Each item of equipment will have their own fuse in the plug, or elsewhere in any case.
