Is Window problem related to K-Rend?

We recently had our gable wall rendered with K-Rend and have these marks appearing on the three windows and sills on the gable end. No marks on the front or rear windows of the property. We’re trying to work out where they’re coming from. It’s so hard to try to remove them. Could it be from the K-Rend at all??? There are tiny deposits where each mark is which you can just about remove using your finger nail. Upstairs window not as bad as two downstairs windows.

They look very much like rust marks - was any grinding done near those windows, or anything else that would have scattered small metal fragments like that? As for removing not sure if you could use a clay bar like you would to try and get similar "fall out" off car body work, although if it's in UPVC that is potentially softer so maybe they are more embedded.

No work has been done near the house since it was rendered. It's very strange. Others have suggested insect droppings. Neighbours windows opposite on the same driveway have no issues at all. Window company say it's definitely not the new windows at fault. Dry verge above was removed and refitted after render completed and windows were all cleaned following completion of the job.

Still looks very much like rust marks - obviously they wouldn't have shown right away only when the tiny metal fragments started to rust, so the issue could have been present for some time before it was noticed. Did they have to grind some beading for the rendering? Something else long before the rendering? Where were the windows stores before fitting? I may be wrong but the pics really look like it.

Not sure about any grinding as part of the rendering or before. We don't believe so. Windows were supplied and fitted by window company. Thanks for your thoughts!
