Isar He30 dhw problem

Hi
Hoping someone my be able to shed some light on a problem that has recently appeared on our boiler.
When we turn hot water taps on the water alternates between hot and warm when I go and look at the boiler the burner is switching on and off with periods of around 20 secs on and off

This is a pain in the behind when trying to get a shower

Any help ?

yes your plate heat exchanger is blocked

You need a degree in Meccano to remove and replace the plate. Seriously though it is diyable but I would fit a new plate and make sure all the connecting waterways are clean. It will be blocked on the primary side (the system water side). Use new seals and consider cleaning the system and fitting a system filter.(Magnaclean or the like) in the boiler return. Correct inhibitor is a must.

Almost surely a blocked secondary heat exchanger.
You can clean or replace it ( borderline diy, you got to be very good ) but the problem will almost surely return if you don't get rid of the crap in your systme first.

The complete system including all pipes and radiators is only 2 and half years old should things get blocked in thst time

The symptoms sound like a blockage, it should never get blocked, but then again, people shouldn't install Ideals. Sorry to say, but your boiler is junk.
These things have all sorts of things go wrong with them, you probably need a RGI to sort it out.
