Isn't it time to ban dangerous dogs?

if you are a responsible dog owner and can pay for pet insurance then read the small print,
if the dog requires any kind of treatment it will not be covered if the jabs are not up to date.
so there you are yet again the insurance company's are in cahoots with the vets and no doubt receive a rather large bung?

ive read on a gsd forum that a few peeps who have multiply dogs do not have insurance and put away a set amount of money each month to cover vet bills etc, they reckon they are quids in.....
myself i wouldnt want to take the chance so i have insurance.even on the 2 cats who never go out.

like all insurance its a gamble, you hope you never have to use,and this is where they have you by the short and curlys.

I agree - it's all a money-making conspiracy (much to the detriment of our pockets, and most importantly our pets)

Wrong! None of our three dogs have been vaccinated, the GSD has had a few grand paid out by the insurance company, not only that it has been for alternative treatment, he went to the Bionic Vethttp://www.telegraph.co.uk/lifestyle/pets/8157908/The-Bionic-Vet-he-can-rebuild-them.html shortly before he became famous on the tv, also Chris Day http://www.holistic-vet.co.uk/, the insurance always paid up..

well on my policies it states they must have a current vaccination.
even on my mums policy when she had to claim on her dog as it broke its leg it stated this aswell.
no doubt some insurance companys differ from others.

but good result there for you.but why havnt you had them vaccinated??just curious?

Because it nearly killed our 4 month old GSD, did you not read the attachment I posted? You would be amazed how many dogs die through vaccination, try googleing it yourself, mention Chris Day to any vet, they all know who he is and admire his work.

VETS WANT YOUR MONEY. VACCINATION IS THE EASIEST WAY TO FLEECE YOU!

I forgot to say, if you want to go to a specialist vet then you have to get your vet to do the relevant paper work, a referral, then the insurance company WILL cough up, obviously your vet wont like this but don't let them fob you off.

I think if your pet hasn't been vaccinated and it does get parvo then they can wriggle out of paying.

When our second GSD got CDRM Mrs Pred went on line sourcing things from as far away as the States. Our vets didn't have a clue!
