Hi Experts,

I have a slightly old electric shower in the bathroom.
Once while using it, i heard a loud sound from inside it and then suddenly the water is no longer as hot it used to be ( its warm but not hot ) .
The shower starts/stops correctly . The only issue is the water not being hot anymore .

What can be the reason ? Do I need to change the electric shower altogether ?

Any idea how much does a plumber charge ( labour charge only) for replacing the shower ?

Many thanks for reading this....

Regards

you've blown a heating element.
What make/model is it ?
If it's that older model the chances are the heat can maybe obselete.

Changing the complete shower may not be that straight forward ie cable size, rcd protection etc all adds up to bring it up todays standards.
