Hi,

Can anyone help me, I have been having problems for some weeks with my central heating system, the central heating would just switch itself off but the hot water appeared to be okay.

However when I was trying to isolate the issue it would just disappear and thing would then be okay for a few weeks. Just like sods law on the coldest day of the year it went again, central heating stopped working but hot water okay.

I did call a plumber but did not call-back after promosing to do so (2 days ago), anyway while troubleshooting it appears I now have another issue. The fuse to the programmer blows whevever I switch on the pump.

I think I may have inadvertently wired the thermostat up since when I disconnect the wires there everything seems fine (although no heating still, but not blowing fuses). Think I have a wiring issue in the thermostat.

I am wondering if I can somehow bridge around the thermostat just to see if the problem is different, only problem is I am not sure how to do this.

Any help wpuld be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks,
John.
