Me again with our utility room update
We're creating a new toilet room with studwork. Demolished the old one as we discovered it was the old coal house with a solid brick wall and we needed it bigger anyway.
Presume we start building the studwork off the wall battens once we've put the celotex between, and stop and restart the insulated pb either side of the studwall( as opposed to off the insulated plasterboard)?
If we start building it off the wall battens without the extra 25mm celotex over the battens, is it worth putting 25mm in the stud wall where it joins the wall batten? We're planning on just putting some rockwool in the new stud walls (recommended by BCO-mainly for sound insulation I think?
We have the 2, 3 x 2 battens to build off already in place on the external wall ,and the timbers in the ceiling (under the insulated pb) in correct place for the ceiling plates.
