Hi I have a jaguar combi boiler and it's making a loud noise but there is not a diagnostic fault on display. The red mode light keeps flashing. would anyone have an idea what the problem could be?

Not sure about your noise would need more info but flashing mode light means your pressure is getting low. Press the mode button and it will tell you the pressure in the heating system. Top up to between 1 - 1.5 bar when the heating is cold.

Check the pressure in the boiler, that there's no air in the system, the pumps spinning and there's no blockages in the pipework(all these are water related problems).
Other common things that cause noises on a boiler are flue or gas related(These require a gas engineer to further investigate).

Jaguar is one of the brands that is very often installed by cowboys. You should get a good RGI in to check the whole system; there are probably various things wrong.
