I live in Peterborough which has massive immigration.
There is a minority of Poles doing import jobs (such as my dentist, nurses etc), but the majority of jobs should be being done by locals or people relocating from other areas of the uk.
Forcing the chavs to work as well of course...
One thing thats important to note is that a lot of the work is done unofficially. The farmers want the Poles here as a lot of the work is cash-in-hand.
Coaches and minibuses take workers from the city here to East Anglia and Lincolnshire to work in the fields.
They live in Peterborough for access to all the services.
The politicians are all "sponsored" by businesses who want the cheap labour. MPs getting free kitchens is nothing compared to this.
They don't care that the public are suffering.
We're paying for the chavs to be on benefits AND for the costs to our public services for all the non-English speakers.
At the local maternity hopsital the majority of patients don't speak English.
We were there the other day and the NHS had provided an interpreter at great expense. Another time an interpreter hadn't been booked so the patient was sent away wasting an appointment.
All this is without taking any cultural changes into account...
