Bodging a join between tool outlet and workshop vac inlet hose is often tedious but can usually be done with copious use of duct tape if no stepped adaptor is on hand. Joining the 63mm dust extractor outlet of my new planer/thicknesser to the 100mm inlet of my new (used) dust extractor was a bit harder. However I did it in only a few minutes by Dremel-slicing off the bottom of a supermarket soup container such as at https://tinyurl.com/2sv4szsr, then cutting a short length of drainage downpipe such as Toolstation 27390 and wrapping a few turns of tape around it to make it fit the soup container nicely. Then the top of the soup container fit into the 100mm hose end perfectly, with only a little more duct tape needed to secure. The downpipe length just slides over the tool's dust extractor outlet and the vacuum keeps it in place once in action. I am moved to attach a photo.

Ah, duct tape, what would we do without you?

I have used this company as they sell good stuff.

But you can use whatever is around plus plastic pipes.
I've heated waste pipe and made bigger or used whatever i could find.
Bodge on but works. Ha
