HI

I WANT TO ADD A NEW WC TO MY PROPERTY. THE hieght AT WHICH THE PIPE WOULD GO THROUGH THE WALL AND THEN RUN AROUND TO THE EXISTING SOIL PIPE IS TOO LOW AS THERE IS A PITCHED ROOF IN THE WAY. WOULD I NEED TO RAISE THE WC( IE THE FLOOR) SO THAT I COULD GO OVER THE TOP OF THE ROOF AND JOIN THE STACK AT A HIGHER POSITION OR IS THERE ANOTHER WAY? WE ARE TALKING ABOUT 6-8 INCHES PROBABLY.

CHEERS

Unless you can get the pipe to pass through the roof tiles (and use a lead slate to seal this) then you are likely to have the pan upon a pedestal as you describe.

You could instead look at installing a macerator, which will be able to pump waste vertically and will create waste pipe system using smaller bore pipes that will be easier to deal with.

HI

THANKS FOR THAT, WAS AS i SUSPECTED. WITH THE MACERATOR CAN THESE BE CONCEALED IN SOME WAY AS i DO HAVE ONE OF THESE IN MY CELLAR AND IT LOOKS PRETTY CRAP IF YOU PARDON THE JOKE
