Hi
I have recently in my living room started getting a dampy kind of wet smell but not al; the times. After it rains and clears normally.
So I lifted the carpet in the corner of the house which tends to get the most build up of rain due to the house being at the botton of the estate. After lifting the floor boards i noticed that the joist end which sits on the masonary part was a bit wet on the joists i could see. I have attached a pic.
Basically on that corner of the house there tends to be water build up as it is not slopped.
I know the drainage needs to be sorted around the property but was planning on doing this next year when i repave the whole property.
Could anyone suggest what it could be and who can inspect it?
