Hi,
I recently lifted my floor in my bathroom. I inspected underneath to discover the end of my joists look wet. I can't reach that far to inspect, it seems to be all 3 joists that I can see all which are on the external wall side.

All floorboards above are dry.

I have attached a pic. Anyone have any ideas if this is something to worry about. ?

I didn't think if that I guess that's a possibility. I just thought it was odd that it's across all the joists I can see at the Brick wall end. Was wondering if it would have been some sort of treatment that was put on that particular end.

Here the same on a joist under where the old hot water tank was. This is middle of the house away from any external wall and bine dry.

Old owner told me about the leak from the hot water tank taking down the ceiling in the 60's. Found the evidence during some renovation.

I reckon yours is the same. Old leak.

Thanks for taking the tine to reply and the pics I appreciate it.
That does make sense considering there is no wet above on the floorboards etc.
