Hi
We have just moved into a new house with 6 small rads upstairs and 6 large ones downstairs. The rads downstairs take an absolute age to heat up and then don't throw out any heat. Upstairs is a different matter and quite hot. The gas meter is whizzing round out of control and have just received a bill for 3 weeks use of £300. It is still whizzing round as we speak. The house downstairs is really cold (10 degrees) despite the theromstat being on 15 +
The pump is making a fair bit of noise (Grundfos 15-60 selectric) and is on setting 2.
The boiler is 3 years old (Ideal) and has been checked and is running perfect. No leaks.
Any ideas? I wondered if we needed a new pump? Or that the pump is too small for the job?The new system, it would appear, was installed about 3 years ago along with the boiler. I have bled a rad just to see and the water is running clear.
Any ideas please? Thanks.
