I have just bought an old Kangoo Van and I can't lock the doors. The keys just keep turning on all the doors. I got new batteries for the key fob but cant get the central locking to work. I looks like the central locking control unit since pressing the button in front of the gear lever will not work either. Can I fit a new control unit myself or do I need to take it to a Renault Dealer.

alright mate. i have the same problem on my citroen van. what i have to do is push the key in . keep pushing on it then turn the key. seems to work on mines so might work on yours. just a idea
Worked once like that then couldn' get it open again. Can't get it to work again.

try pushing on the key then turn the wrong way and flick it round to the right way. failing that can`t help anymore. these are the techniques i use to save myself buying new locks lol.
