We recently moved to a new house and the flooring for most of downstairs is Kardean......do you have to use Kardean products to clean it? Or are the products gimmacky?

Also the bathroom has the same flooring as downstairs is Kardean okay in bathroom?

They say you should only use their cleaning products because others may contain abrasive agents that may damage the surface.

For the fairly marginal difference in cost I would continue to use the Karndean products. We are going to have ours properly dressed for the first time in 4 years and I ahev seen a friends have it done and it brings it up like new

Its good flooring and yes it is fine in bathroom/kitchen etc if fitted properly

I know a Karndean specialist who does the cleaning / products etc based in Southend area if you are close to that (not me I hasten to add!)

No problem

Go to the polyflor website and look at the tile ranges they have (kudos, expona, camaro, etc). They are the same spec as karndean and they have a list you can download of recommended products for maintenance (polishes, strippers and general cleaning). They are available from most cleaning supplies shops and they are alot cheaper than the karndean products.

Details are World of Carpets and contact Richard on 01702 616 324, based in Southchurch Road, Southend on Sea. Its a family run business and his wife is friends with my wife
