Keep existing bath screen or replace with better

I just inspected one of the rentals and the bath screen only after 2 years has gone very stiff. Also the frame looks so flimsy I think my plumber used the cheapest B&Q one!

I have already purchased a Mira one but I did lubricate the existing one with white lithium grease and it started moving again.

Do all bath screens go stiff after some time?
What would you recommend put the existing back on or replace with the Mira so I don’t have to lubricate it every so often.
