I've
a baxi boiler and been told that parts may be hard to get in the near
future by a plumber. I looked into getting a combi but would cost an
absolute fortune and would be an eyesore to install due to the location
it would have to be fitted and getting it plumbed in. Can anyone tell me
if the parts will cease to be made soon and could stock pile main
spare parts for the baxi bermuda?

Give your plumber the push he is trying to get you to buy a new boiler
to replace a boiler that will last years and has very little to go wrong.
It will still be going when any combi you put on the wall is on the scrap heap.

If its a common model like the 552 that all the main parts are available and should be for a long while.

Its not very efficient but pretty reliable.

It does need a PROPER service every year and you must NOT block any ventilation ducts or it will become dangerous!

How old is it and what is the model. If you don't know that, then is the fire radiant or coal. If radiant, how many radiants?
