I have a Kenmore Dishwasher Model 587.15152400 that I purchased in 2005. The top rack doesn't seem to be constantly spinning because it's not pumping enough water to the top. I cleaned out the traps really well and made sure the arms are not clogged.
Here is the weird thing, if it's running and I open and close the door quick, water starts to pump up and causes the top rack to spin. I can hear the difference. But when it stops the cycle, drains, fills again then it doesn't pump enough to cause it to spin.
Like I said I believe I cleaned it well. I took off the screen and the 3 screws at the bottom and made sure the pump had not debris on the axle.
