Jet fuel = kerosene class C1, will burn as well as C2 in your pressure jet burner.
 
If you watch the film Apocolypto directed by Mel Gibson you'll find some good ideas that could be applied to home defence.
Trap floors over concrete tanks with large bone breaking drops or have a few spikes in the base.
Or a timber beam swung dropped by gravity with spikes fitted.
The trap floor is a good one as it couldn't be proved that it was set up to endanger a burgular.

I'm sure it worked extremely well though the burgulars never came back, so wasn't live tested so to speak.
