Hi,

I’ve put together a Keter Darwin 4x6 shed in Grey.

I’m having issues with panel gaps as shown on picture.

I’ve pieced together correctly but fitting clearly isn’t great when finished.

Does anyone have any ideas for work around as I can see issues with rain? I was thinking of placing edging pvc along that area to cover gap but not sure how it will look, as usually they come in white. And the gap is too big to seal with gutter silicone.

Thankfully not in rainy season but I’m dreading for when it does.

The door also has gap on top and bottom which isn’t as major but any ideas how I can cover? What can I place on the outside or inside of the door to give it a nice seal from insects?

Thank you.

WK

My allotment neighbour had a plastic shed. One stiff bit of wind and….

Thanks for reply’s.

I’ll forward these images over to them and likely if they get back will give me replacement panels but taking them off and replacing may weaken other panels as screw holes will be misaligned.

Whilst that is an option does anyone know of a workaround in case the second replacement decides to give me the same problem? What can I use to seal these gaps.

Thank you.

Can you not push the trim further on, and stick in in place? Or is it catching on something behind?

I have unscrewed and got it closer on the rear side of the shed, but gap still exists and won’t go flush against the roof panel. Front panel won’t budge at all. It had a kink towards the middle part of that section prior to fitting, so it was a faulty panel to start off. I have noticed on YouTube videos similar design issues when others are fitting but not as big gaps. One pointed the same issue out so it’s seems to be a design flaw, some worse than others.

Would anyone know a workaround or ideas to patch to prevent possibility of water ingress? Must be some DIY experts here to help!!!

…or maybe ‘DIYnot’

(no pun intended) :)

Shouldn't have to on a new item, but cut the back of the trim down, so it goes on further?

Even as it is, you could seal it with silicone. No gap is too big for silicone, if you have enough!
You could pack a bit of foam or small hose in first to reduce the amount of silicone.

Hi, I have just put together the same shed. I have a similar problem. The roof panel on one side doesn’t sit flat you can see daylight from inside. Rain has come in so I have put tape along that area from outside. How did you get on contacting Keter?
