I wish to use 240V LED for some kitchen cabinets like these https://www.toolstation.com/laghetto-240v-led-round-under-cupboard-light/p18997. I will have 1mm2 T&E for circuit emerging from the wall.

Where should I place the wires and connection from the cable to flex for the light in the cabinet itself? I could use a Wago box on top of the cabinet to connect to the flex, and route the flex down the back of the cabinet to underside.

Or is there a better way to do this?

Yep, would suggest on top and route the cable down the outside. Can you hide it behind a line of caulk or cabinet trim?

There is usually plenty of space behind the cabinet. Depends who made them but you might need to make a small hole top and bottom.
