Kitchen cupboard lights

I am wanting to fit some strip lights under my kitchen cupboards.

What is the normal wattage to go for?

I have seen 8w , 12w & 16w

You want to really have lighting the entire length of your wall cabinets. using long fittings as much as possible, and small ones to fill in the gaps etc. It's less wiring and faffing about bent double backwards trying to connect them all up.

Have a cold cathode neon tube made to fit.

I recently fitted 14w undercupboard lights like this

I fitted three in total - one for each area where the customer intended to do kitchen things.....like preparing food - good even light.

Were the 14w really bright or just slightly lit?

I have never bought under-cupboard lighting before so not sure how much light these things throw out.

Go for the brightest you can.

I've never known a kitchen be too brightly lit.
