I need advice please. For some reason my kitchen floor is made up of half concrete screed and the other half is timber floor boards. The boards finish level with the top of the screed and there is vinyl over the top of the lot.

I am laying slate tiles so do I put down plywood over the whole lot or take up the floor boards and put down plywood up to the screed. If I do that how do I deal with the joint?

Thanks in advance.

I've just advised another poster to go to johnbridge.com and i would advise you to put your Q. to them. You will not be disappointed.

There are two ways that i've used in the day, but try JB they are experts in tile and tile prep.
