My wife has decided that she wants to replace the worktops in the kitchen with granite which is thinner than the existing worktops. She wants the existing tiles off, the walls skimmed (between the existing units and the new granite) so they can be painted rather than tiled.

Is this something a plasterer is likely to want to do, it will mean some careful skimming!... I'm happy to call someone but dont want to a) be ripped off or b) be told repeatedly it's too small a job...

Thoughts?

Contact hammer builders. They cheapest one and quality is good as well.

thay did my full kitchen and i am happy with result and price.

as i remember this is they web page www.hammerbandr.com

Really, I'd say that the work on their website looks rough.

Its always to get three quotes, check references and their work.
