kitchen sockets

I'm moving my kitchen from one side of the house to the other as part of an extension. The existing house has just one ring main off an RCD, and I'd like to add 3 more sockets for the new kitchen.

It seems a bit excessive, but should these be on a new ring main, or can they be added to the original ring?

If it is practical to install a new ring to serve the new kitchen, then do it.
