Hi all,

We've just bought a place with a new fitted kitchen. From what I can see from research standard washing machine widths vary between 59-60m, but the width which has been left in this kitchen is 57cm wide.

There are these two planks of mdf which, if removed would free up the space (along with the kick board). We arent after an integrated machine so would remove the cupboard door regardless.

My question is, would we be ok just to wrench these pieces of MDF out? Are the holding something vital up that we can't see?

Pics below.

Thanks in advance!

They have just been installed to use the w/m space as a cup'd and can be removed, unscrew do not wrench them out.
