Kitchen upstand adhesive

What would be a good product to use for mdf kitchen upstands? They'd be going on to a plastered wall and, I guess, would need siliconing at their base where they meet the worktop. But then I'd have to put pressure on them until they set.

I wondered if there's a waterproof contact adhesive that would be suited.
