Fixing Kitchen Worktop Upstands Over Sealed Tiles?

Hi folks.

Can anyone suggest a suitable adhesive for sticking kitchen worktop upstands over the top of tumbled marble wall tiles with a sealer on them? The walls also aren't particularly even and the upstands are slightly bowed, so how would you suggest ensuring they remains in contact with the wall whilst the adhesive drys?

if you have a few clamps, get a long bit of timber parallel to the upstand, and force it against it with perpendicular bits of timber clamped to the worktop.

If you have no clamps do the same method but force it in with andy heavy appliance!

Obviously clamps are much better!

What kind of adhesive would still to sealed tiles though?

As for adhesive . I'd use gripfill, but silicone would also do the job.
