Hi Guys,
I am after your thoughts on my situation. My builder completed a small knock through for my front room to dining room and had advised me that his architect advised that a concrete lintil would be sufficient, i think two side by side?
The opening is 160 cm wide, by approx 180 high. Now i guess i should be expecting hairline cracks as the house settles, the room shave been re plastered at the time approx 8 months ago. There are cracks around where the lintel has gone in and started to go down the wall, under the picture rail to the extent of about a foot, is this anything to be worried about as only hairline??
Any experiences shared would be great
Thanks,
Aspirartion
