LABC regularisation *after* chimneys have been removed

We had 2 chimneys removed completely (ground floor, first floor, loft and above roof) approx 2 years ago from our semi-detached house.

The builders removed my half of the stacks, so the 2 shared stacks are now half thickness (and only on neighbour's side)

Part of the reason we removed them complete was because I suspected he was a cowboy and (perhaps misguidedly) thought it would be safer if he removed them all rather than left the roof and loft stacks ontop of gallows/steels.

Be as it may, as a cowboy he never involved LABC, and in fact advised me that their involvement was unnecessary. I have since discovered how wrong this is.

My question is - 2 years down the line, is there any point in getting LABC to regularise it? After all there is nothing left for them to inspect?

Thanks

From a building regs aspect, the only things I think would be regarded as structural are 1) the filling-in of the gaps in the floors with timber joists, boarding and plasterboard; and 2) filling the gap in the roof with short lengths of rafter etc.
All this is small beer so why bother LABC about it? Unless, that is, you want to hand over a few £££ for - effectively - nothing.
