Hi,
Whats the best way to to hold a tin of paint on a ladder up high? I can't find anything.

Thanks

Use a paint kettle and bit of wire.

We cll it a can hook, usually an old bent wire handle off an old can. Bend it into an "S" shape then hook your can on one end and the other overthe rung of the ladder on which ever side you want depending on left handed or right handed.

use a paint tray you can rest it on a ledge or top ladder top if available

I doubt wether you could rest a paint tray on top of a ladder that you are working off safely to be honest. The whole idea is that you can be hands free and hold onto the ladder with one hand and a brush in the other. You dont want anything falling and someone claiming off you !!

depends on the ladder, and some paint trays have a grove in them so they cn be balnced on ladders. If your ladder is flat topped then a piant tray would work.

I use a paint kettle and wire but I twist the wire so it's impossible for it to jump off the hook.
