some places state there product is suitable but there is only one laminate flooring i know of that really is suitable. It is made of solid plastic. But i cant remember what its called! I dont understand why people want to put laminate in there bathroom anyway. It looks cheap, you have beading around the edge because of expansion ( which i also looks rubbish ) and it dont last ten minutes!
Why dont you look at a good quality vinyl? There are plenty of wood designs, there are no joints and it is not damaged by water and there is no expansion needed! If your not on a budget then have a look at some some karndean. You could have a boarder etc with it if you wanted.
Sort of, vinyl is sold in sheet form. 2,3and 4 meter wide and loose laid. Karndean on the other hand is in tile or plank form that needs to be fully bonded to the subfloor.
Lino is a mixture of cork dust or wood dust, flax, chalk and linseed oil which is highly compressed between rollers onto a jute backing. This flooring is non flexible and DOES not have a pattern like wood, ceramic etc! It also has to be glued down. This type of flooring is used in commercial areas like hospitals. It also comes 2 meter wide only and must be fitted with welded joints etc.
Vinyl is made of vinyl, these are either in solid or composite types of vinyl, normally 2 layers with a wear layer on the top, there are three basic types of wear layers: vinyl no-wax, urethane, and enhanced urethane. All vinyl floors have a cushion backing or felt backing. These floors DO have a patterned finish. ( wood effect, tile, etc) They also should be loose laid. And it comes in sheet form 2 , 3 and 4 meter wide.
