Hi, laying a floor all the way through bottom of house but not kitchen.Some moisture due to condensation on patio doors .Looking at Aqua loc or Bamboo but B&Q bloke said only Aqau loc if there is any moisture.

So is he right or can engineered wood take a bit of condensation?

See here for where you can use wood-engineered flooring.
Aqua-loc is protection against spills and drips, will react the same as Wood-Engineered when constantly moist.
