Hi my garden/lawn falls by about a foot at the end i have tried to level this using compost but i think iv used the wrong thing, can anyone advise me how to bring up the level at the end of the garden, do i need to use top soil? will i need to remove the compost (i have already grass seeded which has started to grow. It is like walking on sponge.

Remove the sponge, add top soil, level off and turf or re-seed.

I did mine recently but went the whole hog and removed all the turf, then rotovated the soil, added fresh topsoil then raked level before re-turfing the lot.

spend the time getting it right now or you will always regret it. Rake it dead level with a big str8 edge and roll it. You'll thank yourself so much later.
