the Tories tried it with the nationality and borders bill in 2022 (Priti Patel)
push backs are effectively illegal (despite Motorbiking repeatedly turning himself inside trying to claim otherwise
as for taking them back to France, that cant be done without the agreement of France
It frustrates me that Reform as selling falsehood promises to their supporters. Reform have no solutions, I would say Labour are getting on with doing what is actually possible

If we were still in the EU, I assume we could have enforced the Dublin agreement?
Mottie voted for the last Conservative government which had net migration of over 1 million and a massive increase in small boats coming here

true but I dont think the Dublin agreement ever actually saw many returns although of course we had left before the big rise in channel crossings
What about the new plan that France will take back the small boat people if we take some of theirs on a one for one basis. Would that be a disincentive to make the crossing. I can't get my head round the possible consequences.

A possibility, but either way it needs a co-ordinated approach with other countries.
From what I have just read in the link, it seems to be a non-starter.

Too much emphasis on small boats. Legal migration is the one that's swelling UK population by millions. By design.
I thought 'biking was lobbying to tow 'em back himself.
