Hi all,

My garden level is about 4-5 bricks lower than my back door, I want to build a Patio out there but obviously don't want to dig down to lay foundations, thus making it even lower.

Am I ok to just lay the type 1 directly onto the ground then the mortar on top of that with the flags leveled on that, leaving an overspill of type 1 and mortar around the edges. Or should I try and concrete in some edging stones first and then put everything within that?

Cant see how to or in what order I should try and edge it.

Thanks for any advice given.
