laying a patio

hi,
i`m going to lay a patio in my garden but could do with some advice on where to start the area i am patioing is roughly 15` square it is a built up area of breeze block wall at the edges about 2` deep back filled with stone rubble and approx 2" of sand on top. on top of the patio will be my kids pool which is 10` diameter by 2` 6" deep so i need the patio to be very level and solid, any advice will be greatly appreciated. thanks. rich.

It's DTp type 1 ! Any builders merchant will have heard of it.
